WEEK 30 2026 M&A AND PRIVATE EQUITY IN SPAIN

The Spanish M&A and Private Equity market continued to demonstrate strong momentum during Week 30 of 2026. Transactions involving private equity firms, strategic investors and international groups highlight the attractiveness of sectors such as technology, healthcare, consumer goods, industrial manufacturing, software and digital infrastructure. At the same time, investors remain focused on businesses with scalable business models, strong market positions and long-term growth potential.

One of the most significant transactions of the week was Nazca Capital’s acquisition of a majority stake in MAD Madrid Artes Digitales, reinforcing investor appetite for businesses operating at the intersection of culture, technology and immersive digital experiences.

Healthcare and consumer health also remained highly active sectors. JB Capital’s acquisition of a 50% stake in Sesderma, supported by a flexible long-term financing solution from Kartesia, demonstrates continued investor confidence in the pharmaceutical, dermocosmetic and wellness sectors. Similarly, Diana Capital’s investment in Aurora Intelligent Nutrition, a leading CDMO specialised in nutritional products and supplements, reflects the growing interest in specialised healthcare and nutrition platforms.

Technology continued to be one of the most dynamic sectors for deal activity. Altia’s acquisition of EDNON strengthens its capabilities in cybersecurity, data governance, communications and digital infrastructure, while Everfield’s acquisition of Playoff Informática further expands its European B2B software portfolio and reinforces the increasing consolidation trend across the SaaS industry.

The week also featured notable shareholder reorganisation and portfolio management transactions. Salto Systems completed a significant restructuring of its shareholder base through the entry of a consortium led by Inflexion, alongside Asúa Inversiones, Berunberri and Key Wolf. Meanwhile, Portobello Capital completed the sale of Italian aerosol manufacturer Farmol to Germany’s dalli-group, successfully concluding one of its investments in the Italian market.

International expansion remains a key driver behind many of the transactions announced this week. Nicolás Correa’s acquisition of Design & Technical Services (DTS) strengthens its direct presence in the UK market, while HEVO Group’s acquisition of German egg producer Müritz marks another significant step in its European growth strategy and reinforces its production capacity to meet growing demand across the continent.

Healthcare consolidation also remained firmly on the agenda. Vithas’ planned acquisition of GenesisCare Spain will significantly expand its oncology platform, adding 18 oncology centres across Spain and further strengthening access to specialised multidisciplinary cancer care services.

Key M&A and Private Equity Trends

The transactions announced during Week 30 highlight in our opinion several important trends shaping the Spanish M&A market:

• Continued Private Equity activity across growth, consolidation and platform-building strategies.

• Strong investor interest in healthcare, consumer health, nutrition, technology and software businesses.

• Increasing cross-border activity driven by international expansion and strategic acquisitions.

• Consolidation as a key growth lever for companies seeking scale, new capabilities and market leadership.
