Last Thursday, February 20th and on the occasion of the presentation of the report prepared by our experts in mergers and acquisitions in the Food and Beverage sector, we held a coffee tasting by the renowned coffee company, Cafés Toscaf.
“The food M&A market in Spain remained active in 2024 with 140 transactions, mostly of strategic profile, although 34% involved financial investors, concentrated in specific sectors.
The sector is made up of a wide variety of sub-sectors and segmented along the entire value chain.
In 2024, 61% of corporate transactions were concentrated in the food production and processing segment, while almost 20% corresponded to distribution companies . However, emerging subsectors such as Food-Tech and organised catering groups are gaining increasing prominence in the national M&A landscape, reflecting the transformation and modernisation of the sector.
These data show the growth, consolidation and dynamism of key subsectors”
The event was a success in which more than 20 people interested in this sector were able to obtain information on a lot of added value and enjoy a fun experience tasting different coffees and learning to value aspects of them such as body, aroma, sweetness, etc.
The report on mergers and acquisitions in the Food and beverage sector is available on our website, in the Albia Research section.
