The first two weeks of 2026 have started with 12 new healthcare transactions across Europe, confirming the strong momentum of M&A activity in the healthcare sector. Consolidation, specialisation and the search for innovation continue to be key differentiating drivers in a sector that remains highly attractive to investors.
Transactions announced this week in Spain:
Tecnimoem Care SL, a company specialised in the development and manufacturing of medical equipment for geriatric and home use, controlled by Stellum Capital, has acquired UGARI GERIÁTRICA, with the aim of incorporating its capabilities in social and healthcare services, supplies, assistive devices and adapted furniture for dependency, geriatrics and disability.
In the senior living segment, Wellder Senior Habitats has added a new care home for the elderly with more than 80 beds in central Bilbao, strengthening its presence in strategic urban locations and advancing its growth strategy through high-quality senior living assets.

Roche, the global diagnostics and pharmaceutical leader, has invested USD 570 million in a new agreement with China-based MediLink Therapeutics in the field of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), deepening its strategy of accessing external innovation in oncology and reinforcing its international outlook.
Amgen, a global leader in biologic medicines, has acquired UK-based biotechnology company Dark Blue Therapeutics for approximately USD 840 million, strengthening its innovative therapy pipeline and expanding its oncology product portfolio.
Animal Wellness Investments, backed by Investindustrial, has invested in the Italian group FATRO S.P.A., dedicated to the production of pharmaceuticals and vaccines for animal health and welfare.
