As part of ALBIA’s strategy of sectoral specialization in key sectors of the economy, yesterday we held an event in our Madrid office to present our report on mergers and acquisitions in the dermatology and cosmetics sector
Fernando Cabos, partner and Eugenia Cabeza Tejera, associate, members of the Albia Team that analyzes the sector in depth, shared with the more than 20 attendees the trends, perspectives, main transactions and case studies that we have studied.
For us, the following are key in the sector:
Economies of scale and atomization
Tailwinds for the beauty sector
Convergence with the pharmaceutical and supplements sector
Challenges with natural products and ESG
That is why we conclude that there is a greater gap between larger and smaller companies and that there is a transformation of the sector in Spain that involves a call to action for smaller companies to lead growth projects, integrate into a larger project or think about selling the company with high valuations.
Then we carried out a fun activity of skin self-diagnosis, and learning proper skincare with the help of Laboratorios Ximart S.A. Manufacturer of cosmetics. and its ABIDIS brand.
For this we were lucky to have David García Simancas, CEO of the Laboratories and Raúl Martos, director of the ABIDIS brand and Eva, an incredible trainer with a lot of knowledge of the world of cosmetics.
We can only thank all of you who came for encouraging you and participating in our always different events.
The report on mergers and acquisitions in the Food and beverage sector is available on our website, in the Albia Research section.
