Last Friday, March 27, we had the pleasure of taking part in the conference “New Leadership Models”, organized by WITH in Bilbao. The event brought together professionals from the financial and corporate sectors to reflect on today’s leadership challenges in a context shaped by business transformation and economic uncertainty.
Female Leadership and Strategic Vision in the Financial Sector
Our colleague Inés Curiel de la Torriente, Financial Analyst, participated in a roundtable discussion alongside Patricia Berjón, Director of Corporate Development at DOMINION GLOBAL, Lexuri Elorriaga Lekue, and Marisol Menéndez from WITH. During the discussion, she shared her experience and perspective on female leadership in the financial sector, an area closely tied to strategy, investment, and mergers and acquisitions.
Beyond the Numbers: Leadership in M&A and Corporate Finance
Throughout the session, several key topics were addressed, including:
- The importance of navigating uncertain environments with confidence
- Team management and the ability to build trust
- The transformative impact of strategic decision-making
- The role of leadership in growth, investment, and M&A processes
One shared reflection was that finance goes far beyond numbers: it requires vision, responsibility, sound judgment, and a strong ability to adapt—particularly in contexts involving corporate transactions, post-acquisition integration, and business transformation.
Reflection Spaces That Foster Business Growth
These types of gatherings reinforce the importance of placing people at the center of strategy and promoting leadership models aligned with the real needs of companies and the mergers and acquisitions market.
We would like to thank WITH for organizing this event and congratulate all the speakers for their valuable contributions. It was a truly enriching experience that reinforces our commitment to talent development, responsible leadership, and long-term value creation within the financial and corporate ecosystem.
