Week 19 (2024) in M&A and Private Equity in Spain

• pfsTECH&DATA (AnaCap), a multinational Spanish company in proprietary software, data, and AI solutions for the credit lifecycle, has completed the integration of INNOVA CONSULTORES.
• DANOBATGROUP, a player in the design and development of advanced manufacturing solutions, strengthens its position in the North American rail market with the acquisition of the American company Delta Wheel Truing Solutions.
• Malaga-based Freepik (EQT Group) announces its acquisition of Magnific AI, the most advanced AI image upscaler, enhancer and transformer tool in the market. The strategic acquisition is Freepik’s biggest to date – it acquired EyeEm (Germany) last year, and Videvo (UK), Original Mockups (Colombia), and Iconfinder (Denmark) in 2022.
• Oshkosh Corporation, an innovator of purpose-built vehicles and equipment, announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire AUSACORP, a Spanish company and manufacturer of wheeled dumpers, rough terrain forklifts and telehandlers for the construction, material handling, agriculture, landscape and specialty equipment industries.
• Grupo Abra, the parent company of avianca, has acquired Wamos Air, a Spanish airline specializing in wet lease operations, which had already been operating flights for Avianca.

• GDES | Grupo Dominguis Energy Serviceshas invested in SOLATOM, a Valencia-based startup that specializes in thermosolar energy systems for industrial heating. Solatom has implemented the world’s largest Fresnel technology-based thermosolar plant for Heineken in Spain.
• Transition Capital has acquired Vinos Cándido, a company dedicated to the provision of services for the production and treatment of wines directly at the premises of its customers, with the aim of providing resources to the company in its mission to support wineries in the production of their wines.
• Unilabs Spain acquired PRETEIMAGEN SL, a leading Basque company in radiology since 1988. This acquisition enhances Unilabs’s diagnostic capabilities and reaffirms its commitment to expanding its presence and advancing medical diagnostics in Spain.
• The Italian group Comelit Group S.p.A. has acquired a majority stake in the Spanish company Ingenium, based in Oviedo, Asturias. Ingenium specializes in advanced technologies for home automation and building automation.
• Jungle has acquired BUM Agency, a creative company from Barcelona. This acquisition is part of Jungle’s strategy to strengthen its creative capabilities and expand its presence in Catalonia.
