Mimpo Global Logistics strengthens its position in the Spanish market and expands its capabilities with the acquisition of Iberoforwarders, a specialist in international freight forwarding
Mimpo Global Logistics has completed the acquisition of Iberoforwarders, in what represents its first inorganic transaction in the Spanish market since establishing operations in 2019. With this integration, the company expects to achieve a combined turnover of 40 million euros in Spain by 2025, with a team of more than 60 professionals.
The deal consolidates Mimpo Global Logistics’ presence in the country, expanding its operational capacity and enhancing its value proposition in international maritime transport, which represents the core activity of both companies. In particular, the specialization in export and import traffic between Europe, Latin America and the United States stands out, as well as in high value-added verticals, such as industrial, commercial and consumer goods.
Beyond the maritime segment, the integration brings new capabilities to Mimpo Global Logistics in Spain, including a 3,000 m² bonded warehouse, national and international road transport services and tailored logistics solutions for the Canary Islands. With this move, Mimpo Global Logistics gains broader coverage and diversification while maintaining its focus on its main business lines: maritime, air and land.
“This integration responds to a very clear strategy: to consolidate our activity in Spain and strengthen our position as a leading logistics operator in trade flows between America and Europe. In just six years, we have built a solid and recognized brand, and now we are laying the foundations for a new, more ambitious and specialized stage of growth,” says Carlos Delfín, Global CEO of Mimpo Global Logistics.
“It is a key strategic milestone for Mimpo Global Logistics in Spain. This move enables us to scale both in capabilities and in human resources, positioning us to continue growing in very demanding logistics sectors, with a strong focus on maritime transport and integrated solutions for our customers,” adds David Soto, General Manager of Mimpo Global Logistics in Spain.
“Both companies share a highly aligned vision of the business, which will facilitate a smooth and rapid integration full of potential. This transaction offers us new growth opportunities and will deliver significant benefits for our customers,” says Jordi Esteve, CEO of Iberoforwarders.
