grupo cementos portland valderrivas verticalAlbia Capital Partners has provided financial advice to a Navarra based energy investment Group in the purchase of the Zudaire hydroelectric power station (located on the right bank of the river Ubaba in Amescoa Baja, Navarre) to Cementos Portland Valderrivas, which was completed successfully in October 2013.

The Zudaire hydroelectric power station has a net head of 180 metres which feeds two alternating turbines (2,730 kW and 967 kW) and their average production is over 13 million kWh/year.

With this acquisition, the investmet Group consolidates its growth strategy in this business by doubling its production capacity.

Cementos Portland Valderrivas, the largest cement group with Spanish capital and with several production centres in the Iberian Peninsula, continues with its plan to divest non-core assets by selling the hydroelectric plant associated with its cement production centre in Olazagutia (Navarre).
